The human language faculty has an endowment for multilingualism. Assuming that this can be confirmed, the view of child bilingualism as a potential source of possible disturbances must be abandoned. Instead, monolingualism can be regarded as resulting from an impoverished environment where an opportunity to exhaust the potential of the language faculty is not fully developed.

Le projet DYLAN vise à identifier les conditions dans lesquelles la diversité linguistique de l'Europe est un atout pour le développement de la connaissance et de l'économie.

DYLAN est un projet intégré (Contrat N° 028702) financé dans le cadre du 6 ème Programme Cadre de l'Union européenne. Le projet, d'une durée de 5 ans, regroupe 20 instituts de recherche répartis dans 12 pays européens.
