Spring Schools and Internal and External Training Programmes
The DYLAN Consortium will also organise courses and Spring schools. Attendance at these events will be open both internally and externally (on a merit basis).
It is envisaged that the first Spring school should be held in year 2 of the project and the second in year 4. The current aim is to design Spring schools as intensive five-day periods of training for young researchers. Senior members from the partner institutions of the DYLAN consortium and invited external experts will provide the expertise for executing the training.
These Spring Schools will be closely coordinated with the “European Doctoral School on Multilingualism” currently being developed under the auspices of UNICA and of the European Language Council (CEL/ELC) (under Call for Erasmus Multilateral projects of the European Commission), and with other national doctoral schools (for example, the “Ecole doctorale suisse en sciences du langage).
At the end of the project, a third Spring school will be financed by special founds from the University of Helsinki .
